Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MyFridge AI iOS application (“the App”) provided by me, the developer (“I,” “me,” or “Developer”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms
   You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have authority to agree to these Terms.
2. Changes to Terms
   I may update these Terms at any time. If I make material changes, I will notify you in-app or by email (if you’ve provided one). Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
3. Description of Service
   MyFridge AI helps you track foods in your refrigerator or pantry by:
   • Scanning receipts via the Taggun API
   • Offering AI-powered insights using OpenAI
   • Allowing login via phone number or Sign In with Apple (both via Firebase Authentication)
   • Collecting anonymous analytics to improve the App
4. Account & Authentication
   
   • Phone Login: Verified via Firebase Authentication (SMS).
   • Apple SSO: Uses Sign in with Apple; I only receive the name and email you authorize.
   • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
5. License & Restrictions
   I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on any iOS device you own. You agree not to:
   • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code
   • Use the App in violation of any law or third-party rights
   • Interfere with the App’s security or operation
6. Third-Party Services
   The App integrates the following third-party services, each subject to its own terms:
   • OpenAI (AI features)
   • Firebase (authentication, database, storage, analytics)
   • Taggun API (receipt scanning)
   • Analytics SDKs (usage metrics, crash reporting)
   By using those features, you agree to the third parties’ terms as well.
7. Disclaimers
   
   • General: The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
   • Expiration Date Recommendations: Any expiration dates generated or suggested by the App are recommendations only. You should always follow the USDA Food Safety Guidelines and the expiration date printed on your product packaging.
8. Limitation of Liability
   To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
9. Indemnification
   You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
    I may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, the license granted herein immediately ends.
11. Governing Law
    These Terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado.
